Four Victims Wounded at Howe Park Sacramento - Large Unauthorized Party Erupts in Gunfire
On Saturday evening, a large unauthorized party of an estimated several hundred individuals at Howe Park in Sacramento County's Arden-Arcade neighborhood became the scene of a shooting when an estimated 20 to 25 gunshots filled the air as Sacramento County Sheriff's Office deputies were working to clearing the area.
A Timeline of Events
At approximately 6:30 PM, the Sacramento County Sheriff was notified regarding people potentially carrying concealed firearms at Howe Park. A second caller advised of a potential physical confrontation and individuals running from the park.
Aerial units was sent to the area and conducted an aerial search but failed to identify any physical confrontation.
Despite this, an estimated several hundred attendees had congregated at Howe Park for what officials called an unauthorized event. Deputies positioned themselves around the park, switched on their vehicle lights, and gave the crowd approximately 15 minutes directing the crowd to leave over their vehicle speakers.
While law enforcement cleared the gathering, 20 to 25 rounds of gunfire rang out — causing hundreds to flee in every direction.
Shooting Victims
Four shooting victims — one woman and three male victims, ranging in age through their 20s — were rushed to local hospitals. Two were treated for immediate injuries, one suffered moderate injuries, and one suffered injuries classified as minor. All four were said to be in stable condition. Metro Fire Sacramento provided medical assistance in the field.

Arrests and Detentions
According to scanner audio, it was reported that a suspect vehicle — a Kia — was contacted in nearby Solano County with four people in custody. Sacramento County Sheriff's Office units were en route to collect the suspects and return them to Sacramento County for questioning. Video evidence confirmed two shooters were involved.
